We were planning on exploring the city a litte more this morning on a bike tour, but Alejandro had caught some kind of stomach bug, so we just relaxed in the mornin so he could get some rest.

Around noon, he was feeling a little better so we went walking around the nearby San Telmo area, which used to be a high class area until the yellow fever epidemic hit hard. It recently started undergoing regentrificantion (i.e. hipsterification says Alejandro) and is now a cute little area with a market. We got some awesome Empanadas at El Banco Rojo with flavors including 1) corn, red pepper and cheese, 2) lamb, 3) spicy lamb, 4) bacon, potato, and cheese, and 5) Blood sausage. All spectacular.
We headed back to the airport to catch our flight to Iguazu Falls. We had decided to go high class for the ride to town. (It was $15 to ride on a shuttle or $20 for our own taxi).

Alejandro’s stomach was still not feeling 100%, so we decided to get some burgers for dinner at something that looked like a mix of an old American drive-in and a food truck. Good burgers though!
Called it in early for a full day at Iguazu falls tomorrow!
If I had a dodgy stomach, I’m not sure I’d go for blood sausage and burgers!
