Today we got up early to head to our next destination, Salento, in the coffee growing region of Colombia, el Eje Cafetero. The roads we traveled were actually fairly well paved, but, the mountainous terrain still made it VERY slow going. They are also mostly all 1 lane roads, with a lot of freight trucks on it, so there was plenty of small traffic jams forming all the time we traversed the Colombian countryside. At least the views were good!

After 8 hours we finally arrived in Salento. Not much time left to do anything so we found a place to grab a drink, some dinner, and cought a glimpse of the sunset before heading to bed.
