Medellin Walking Tour, Pueblito Paisa, and Atlético Nacional

We headed out for one of Cassie’s favorite breakfasts this morning.. Arepa de huevo! We ordered a couple per person for a yummy way to start the day!

We took an Uber to start another walking tour, this one of the downtown area. It was fantastic! We learned a lot about the “Paisa” culture, the history of the area, as well as getting to know some of the real parts of Medellin. We saw the government buildings, the major squares, a plaza of Botero art, some churches, and much more. It was probably one of the best walking tours that we had in South America.

After the tour, we took a taxi to a hill overlooking the town with a mini tourist city up at the top, called Pueblito Paisa. The mini town was super touristy, but the views were fantastic over Medellin!

Next stop was a little relaxation at the apartment and then dinner at a Colombian chain called Crepes and Waffles. We split a mushroom crepe, an Indian crepe, and a salad. After dinner, we walked to the nearby stadium to watch the local team play the team from the neighboring region. It was fun to watch!

On the way back home, we walked right by one of the salsa clubs that we had heard a lot about, so we figured, why not? We ducked in and danced for a little bit before we called it a night.
