Bogota to Medellin

Lizzie and I headed out this morning to Parque Simon Bolivar (the New York City Park equivalent in Bogota) to get some exercise. We took turns running/reading for a bit, then did some lifting before it was time to head back to our hostel. We had a delicious lunch at a restauarant nearby. I had a chicken salad with an almond sauce and Lizzie had a veggie roll.

We headed back to our hostel to clean up, then called an Uber to take us to the airport for our flight to Medillin. Luckily, all went well, and we proceeded to take another uber from the airport into the city of Medellin. After checking into our apartment for the next few days in Laureles area, we headed out for happy hour and to explore our surroundings. The area was great! There were so many cute bars and restaurants. We had a drink at a place called Delirio- I had a passion fruit margarita that was absolutely delicious. Next stop was a place called Gratinato for dinner, which basically served inside out quesadillas that hit the spot.

We headed back to the apartment and did some onward trip planning until Alejandro got in by taxi around 12:30 or so, then we all headed to sleep.
