We packed up this morning and headed out with a driver from the hostel out to the Zipaquira Salt Cathedral. After paying the entrance fee, we headed inside the old salt mine, which has been turned into an underground pilgramage. The audioguide tour started with an interpretive version of the 14 stages of the cross.
The trail eventually led to a huge area with 3 separate rooms that made up the cathedral.
After the tour of the cathedral, we headed back into Bogota in time to catch the Graffiti tour. Despite a very large number of tourists, it was super interesting to learn about the street art community from a member of the community. We learned about the local groups as well as more about certain artists. Here were some of our favorites.
We even saw a couple in the process of being painted (that we saw finished a couple days later).
After the tour, we headed over to one of the oldest and best restaurants in La Candelaria neighborhood called La Puerta Falsa, where we ordered a traditional Colombian drink, hot chocolate with cheese! It was served with a pastry called almojabana. Everything was delicious! Next stop was a restaurant next door where I had one of my favorite dishes from Colombia called Ajiaco, which is a potato soup with chicken, corn, avocado, capers, and cream. It hit the spot! Lizzie tried a milk corn soup called Peto.

After dinner, we headed back to Gorro Quevedo for a drink at one of the cute bars there, followed by a Canelazo from one of the street vendors while we watched a story telling/comedy session in the square. We were pretty exhausted from the long day, so went back to the hostel and headed to bed.
