We got up early this morning for one more ride on the motorized canoe, and we got super lucky. There was a sloth on the move right next to the river! We managed to get some pictures through the binoculars.

After returning for breakfast, we had a 3 hour boat ride followed by a 3 hours car ride to get back to the airport in Lago Agrio. From there, we flew to Quito, where we had an extended layover before our midnight flight back to Houston.

Alejandro will be working at his dad’s clinic while his parents are on vacation for the next 4 weeks. Cassie will be enjoying some time with her parents for the next couple weeks before she heads back to Colombia after the 4th of July for a Spanish program.
