We had a relaxing morning this morning with some coffee/tea and reading some of the books our guide brought with him about the Amazon. We had breakfast around 9.

After breakfast, we hopped into the motorized canoe to head upriver. We dropped the chef, Tobias, off at our campsite for the night, then continued upstream, where we hopped into the non-motorized canoe for a paddle through one of the small channels. It was so peaceful without any motor- just hearing the sounds of the jungle. We saw a lot more animals including social spiders (only spiders in the world to live in groups), some red howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys (can you find the monkeys in the 3 bottom pictures?), as well as lots of birds.
We stopped to eat lunch in the canoe, then continued on our way.
We arrived back to camp around 5, where we were greeted with a beer.
Next, we had a short swim/shower in the river using some biodegradable soap and jumping off the side of the canoe. Upon returning to the camp, we dried off just in time for dinner, then headed out on a long night walk once it was dark enough.
We saw a flat ancient animal, cup fungi, spiders, bullet ant, frog, and Cassie saw our first snake- a snail eating snake.
After the walk, we returned to camp for a glass of wine before we headed to bed.
