Woke up to have a quick visit to North Seymour Island on our last morning of the trip. Headed out before breakfast and finally got some up close looks at the famous Blue Footed Boobies nesting. Several actually had small chicks in their nests too!
Also got to check out more Frigatebirds, sea lions, and land iguanas before heading back to the ship for breakfast and then disembarkation.
Got a bus for the quick trip back to the airport for our plane back to Guayaquil.
Said bye to Cassie’s family (they were on an earlier flight to Quito), but it was really nice to have spent all that time together! We didn’t have to wait long, thankfully, and got to Guayaquil in the late afternoon. The rest of the day was basically spent travelling… 5 hour bus ride to Ambato, where we transferred to a different bus which took us the rest of the way to Banos where we’ll spend the next few days. We made it to our hostel around 11pm, and after the long day traveling the country, headed straight to bed!
This was like watching a documentary from National Geographic. Thank you so much for sharing.
