We had a relaxing morning this morning before catching a bus from Ica to Lima. We took a taxi from Lima center to the neighborhood of Lima called Miraflores, and checked into our hotel around 2pm. After arranging our things in the hostel, we took off for a walk down the Malecon, which is the walkway along the cliffs right next to the ocean. There is a ton of greenspace, and we loved the area. Unfortunately, the weather was pretty cloudy, so we didn’t catch the sunset that we were hoping for.

Next stop was a restaurant called Amaz, which is based around Amazonian cuisine. We had the tasting menu, which included white fish ceviche, warm shrimp ceviche (Cassie didn’e eat that one), cheese stuffed plantain, empanadas, Amazonian river fish, pork trio with chicharrones and plantain mash, lomo saltado, fried rice, rice pudding, and amazonian fruit sorbets. It was a lot of food, and all delicious. We were so full afterward!!!
We were exhausted too after the large meal, so came back to the hostel and headed to bed.
