We woke up around 6:00 this morning, for tea at 6:30, then hit the trail about 7:15. We went up, and up, and up. All of the way was along a dirt road, so at least it wasn’t super steep.
Though we did have some road hazards along the way!

Alejandro also tried to pick some Tuna fruit from a cactus… He avoided the large spines on the cactus plant, but, didn’t realize that there were tiny hair-like spines on the actual tuna fruit… He was covered in them all over his hands, and even got to his stomach! We had to slow down for a bit so he could try to pick all of them out. We forgot to take a picture of his misfortune unfortunately.
About 2.5 hours in, we popped over the top point and saw our destination in the valley, called Sangalle, but otherwise known as “The Oasis”. You can probably see why. As we descended, there were beautiful waterfalls and palm trees, and tropical flowers.
We arrived around 11am and spent the afternoon by the pool in the beautiful surroundings, reading, snacking, and enjoying the weather.
