Arequipa, Day 2

We enjoyed relaxing around the hostel this morning, trying to get some onward trip planning done. We liked the picanteria so much yesterday, we decided to try another one today for lunch, called La Dorita. Alejandro had a whole cuy, and Cassie tried the Rocoto Relleno. The food was delicious! And there was a lot of it!

After stuffing ourselves, we walked around to do some errands, including buying some cheese from the market for our trek tomorrow and finding Cassie a new pair of tights (she somehow misplaced her’s somewhere along the way.) We also stopped to see the inside of the main cathedral on the square. This is the 2nd largest organ in South America.

With the rest of the afternoon, we did some catching up on blog posts and some more trip planning. For dinner, we wanted something quick and easy. While we were walking around, we saw an ad for a buffet for $6.50 with peruvian classics, so we decided to try it out. The food was surprisingly good, especially for our relatively low expectations. We came back and went to bed for an early morning tomorrow.
