We arrived in Cusco fairly early in the morning still, but, thankfully our room was ready at the hostel for us to check in and start our day. We ran some errands (found the travel company which we will use for our Choquequirao and Machu Picchu trek) and then met up in the main square for another walking tour. It was really informative and took us to all the historical places and showed us original Incan walls, temples, and was our first in depth tutorial on Inca culture.
We stopped by the local market and finally got to try Lucuma in fruit form (typically it’s only found in juices and ice cream). It was yummy, but, also kinda dry so we figured out usually why it’s only made into other things instead of eaten raw.

And Cassie even got kissed by an alpaca!
After learning all about the Incas and Cusco, it was time for our evening briefing back at the tour/trekking company before we embarked on our 9 day trek to Machu Picchu the following morning. It was an early night as tomorrow we will wake up at 4am to get going on time!
